We’re excited to share that a new article titled "Feasibility and Acceptability of Social Prescribing for Cancer Survivors" has been published in MDPI on 25 February 2025. This important study, led by researchers Deirdre Connolly, Chloe O'Hara, Catherine O'Brien, and Adrienne Dempsey, explores the potential benefits of social prescribing for individuals living with and beyond cancer.

Social prescribing is an emerging approach that links individuals with community-based activities and services to improve their physical, mental, and social well-being. While the practice has been widely researched for individuals with mental health conditions, this study explores its feasibility and acceptability specifically for cancer survivors.

This paper is a significant step forward in understanding how social prescribing might play a role in post-cancer care. The findings from this study could contribute to shaping future approaches to supporting cancer survivors in a more holistic way, addressing not just their physical health, but also their emotional and social needs.

We encourage you to check out the full article in MDPI to gain more insight into the potential impact of social prescribing on cancer survivors.
